The dome-and-spring assembly changes the job

Topre boards use a rubber dome, conical spring, and capacitive sensor. That assembly gives Realforce and HHKB boards their distinct feel, so we clean them according to their construction instead of treating them like ordinary hot-swap mechanical keyboards.

Vintage boards may have uncommon construction and parts that are no longer available. We clean and carefully reassemble them. Electronics repair and replacement-part sourcing are outside this service, so detailed intake notes help us catch a mismatch before you ship.

    Include the layout, switch or dome type, modifications, and any known damage.

    If the board falls outside our cleaning scope, we refund the booking before anything ships.

    We clean, test, and photograph it

    Bench work usually takes 3–5 business days, followed by insured return shipping.

Yes. Topre boards such as Realforce and HHKB are part of our external-keyboard service. Include the full model and any modifications in the booking notes.

Can you repair a non-working vintage keyboard?

We clean the board and restore its condition. Electronics repair and replacement-part sourcing are outside this service. Describe every known fault so we can tell you whether cleaning is the right service before the keyboard ships.

What happens if you cannot accept my board?

We review every order. If we can't accept your board, we refund the booking in full before anything ships.
